Rafa Fierres was born in the granadine city of Motril close to the Mediterranean sea on December 24th 1968.
Since a young age he was interested in travelling across the oceans to see the sites of the world. Later, in Valencia, at just 18 years of age, he made a decision to focus his life and career in Photography.
He studied for a Photography degree at CEU in Valencia. At the same time, he went into business with fellow partners with similar interests in Photography. From here, he developed and progressed in his chosen profession and partook in numerous publicity campaigns and catalogue photography.
During this time, he completed his degree and undertook various classes and courses. He took further training, and attended conferences, in photography with emphasis on photography, digital imaging, management and marketing. He joined the directors board of the Spanish Advertising Photographers Association and took part in various expositions in 1993, 1994 and 1995 like Color-Calor, Instante and Magia, Tierra de Hombres among others.
In 2001, after working for the association for over 10 years, he decided to change of career direction and worked as production chief in a audio-visual company of Valencia. He worked on television programs, filming, advertising spots, documentaries, etc.
In September of 2005, after a year of preparation he commenced working as a Freelance photographer. He established his new
studio in June 2007. The focus of his new studio was on hi-resolution advertising photography. Currently,
he is working on Stock photography (represented by: Age, Pixtal, Matton images, Suite Media, Redimagen
y Andalucía imagen), and still shoots and photography. |
